Bespoke tuning of the RX8
Engine Mapper, Graham, has managed to get hold of the necessary equipment for Silverstone Autosport to now offer in house bespoke tuning of your Mazda Rx8!
We are rotary specialists and deal with a huge volume of Rx8 and Rx7 vehicles. The Rx8s are and have always been very popular with performance car owners and as such are subject to modifying without the correct care and attention and therefore need the necessary treatment to make them sing as they should. The rotary market is a very specialist and complex industry and using Graham's key engine mapping skills we've been able to offer the customer a number of tuning packages to suite each individual and their car applying to both 4 port and 6 port engines.
The results shown below were carried out on our very own Rx8 test car with fantastic results to driveability, fuel economy and top end longevity.
Package one is a bespoke mapping session on your Rx8, this consists of:
- Compression test - (advice and help on any engine related issues from our in-house engine builder)
- Full mapping session including dyno time on our Dyno Dynamics rolling road with Engine Mapper
- K+N panel filter Fitted
RRP £450
Below is the base Rx8 power and torque, (Green), and remapped power and torque, (red). A healthy 6 port Rx8 will generally put out between 180-190bhp on the DD dyno.

The power is increased at peak by 12.5bhp, however the biggest noticeable improvement upon driving it was the increase of 30bhp at 8500rpm. Between 7250rpm all the way to 8750rpm the engine continues to pull hard, where on the standard map the power would already by dying away.
Package two is our next upgrade for that bit extra in power and noise and consists of:
- Compression test - ( advice and help on any engine related issues from our in-house engine builder)
- Full mapping session including dyno time on our Dyno Dynamics rolling road with Engine Mapper
- K+N panel filter fitted
- Silverstone Autosport's own cat back exhaust system fitted
RRP £999
Results below show the peak increase is now best part of 25bhp with a torque increase of between 10-15lb/ft

We can also cater for those with already modified cars with our bespoke mapping session alone:
- Compression test - (advice and help on any engine related issues from our in-house engine builder)
- Full mapping session including dyno time on our Dyno Dynamics rolling road with Engine Mapper
RRP £425
Please get in contact for more information or to book yourself in for a mapping session.
